Not individual teeth, but the smile as a whole
Smile design is not the name of a single procedure but a method of planning. The length and width of the teeth and their proportion to one another; how much gum shows when you smile; how the midline aligns with the midline of your face — all of it is assessed together.
The planning determines which treatments will be applied. Sometimes that is only whitening and gum contouring; sometimes it is a broader process involving veneers or orthodontics. In other words, smile design describes not the result but the route to it.
See the result in advance
Planning is done digitally. The new form of your teeth is designed from intraoral photographs, impressions and, if needed, X-rays, and shown to you on screen. Where it can be applied, you can try the result in your own mouth with a temporary mock-up and tell us what you are not happy with before any permanent work begins.
How does the smile design process work?
The process depends on the scope of the plan. The steps below show the general flow.
